"On March 17th, a fire broke out at a home in lower Rattlesnake Valley in Montana. Firefighters found a a striped gray kitten lying limp on the floor of the home. Firefighter Brett Cunniff carried the kitten outside and held an oxygen mask up to its face. Within minutes, the kitten awoke and was rushed via ambulance to Pruyn Veterinary Hospital. She appears to have fully recovered.

Assalamua'laikum and good afternoon everybody!!

Oh my God! It has been ages! It has been ages since I last updated anything here. I know, I'm a bad blogger. I'm so so so so so sorry:( The truth is this, I'm currently doing my MA and now I'm at the final stage, the thesis writing process. And for an average student like me, I feel that the whole thing is quite tough. Difficult :( Huhu. So, that's why I had to really really really focus and put aside some of my social obligations, like updating this blog. God knows how I missed blogging about cats! Huhu.

However, today, I'm going to start cat blogging again! Yeay!:) This is because I have more free time now. I've already sent the draft of my thesis to my supervisor last Tuesday:)) Alhamdulillah.. (Though I know that there will be more corrections and corrections to be done, but never mind!;p).

So for today's entry, the first thing that I'm going to do is, to ask for apologies, for not updating anything for several months, from readers and people out there who are expecting my update all this while (Hehee..that is IF there are people and readers out there who are expecting for my update;p)

The kittens above are my friend's kittens. She loves them but she has to give them away for adoption since the mother kitten, Mama Kin (I've posted about Mama Kin before. Read about her here), accidentally got pregnant again. Heeee. And my friend does not want to abort the babies cause the abortion process might be dangerous for Mama Kin. So, since she does not have bigger space for the whole family, she has to give this batch of kitten away, so that she could care for the second 'coming soon' batch. Thus, PLEASE..PLEASE..PLEASE..if you are interested in adopting kittens or are generous and kind enough to help out in adopting them, please contact my friend through the number given in the pet profile. Thank you so much for your generosity=)

Adik has been adopted

This is just a short note from me, telling everybody that Adik, the beautiful kitten in my last entry has been adopted. Thank you to Kak Sal:) And I would like to say sorry to Shikin. Huhu. So sorry:(

Adik - for adoption

Salam and good morning everyone,
I know I have been neglecting my responsibility as a cat-fan blogger. But honestly, I have been and am still very very very busy completing my thesis that I couldn't find the time to really sit and type my thoughts in this blog.

However, today, is a different case. This is an emergency.

Everybody, I would like you to meet Adik, a one month old very cute and playful kitten that was found by my friend near a bus stop, last week. She is one very very very cute and adorable kitten (Tak tipu punya cuteness;p). Her fur is gray in color (macam gray wolf) and this means that she is going to be a beautiful cat once she has grown up:) Sekarang, Adik berada dalam jagaan saya dan kawan-kawan di hostel, di UIA. And we are not allowed to keep pets in our hostel.

Therefore, I would like to ask if anybody would like to adopt Adik. For FREE!! I hope that person will be a responsible person who could give all the tender loving care that Adik needs. She is still very small kitten with no mother or siblings.. so, hope that the person could give her careful and close attention and lots of love!;)

A male cat trying to wake his lifeless female companion

In the name of Allah the Most Compassionate and the Most Merciful.

This morning, I logged in to my FB account and I found a video about a cat was tagged i.e linked to my friend's profile. Then, I watched the video. And it was a very very very very sad video, people... Sad yet touching video about a male cat which was trying to wake another female cat, which was knocked down by a car.. Oh it was so sad and touching that it made me cried... Tears came rolling down my cheeks the moment I watched it.. :( I feel like sharing it with you guys so I went to YouTube, found it and posted the video here.




It is stated there that the stray cat "was filmed in Turkey( Kızılsaray district of Antalya ) trying to reanimate his female friend who got hit by a car. Even though some people tried to help him, the white cat wouldn't let them come near for two straight hours. Finally a vet arrived and took the injured cat. Sadly, it was too late and he couldn't resuscitate the feline" (Taken from the YouTube video that I've linked).

Some people commented that the male cat was trying to do a cardiac massage and a CPR-like massage, trying to save the female friend. But I don't think that's what he was trying to do...cause cats don't know about cardiac massage or CPR, like human do. What he was doing to the female friend is usually called "kneading". And cats usually do kneading only to people who are close to them and care for them and only to other cats which are very dear to them or the ones that they love dearly, like to their mothers or other siblings.

So, when this male cat was kneading his lifeless female friend without stopping and was being very protective of her, this means that the female friend must have been a cat companion which was very very very dear to him. I believe what he was trying to do was just so that the friend would be awake......just so that the friend would be conscious again.....just so that they could walk away from there and go play together again..... Oh this is so so sad..... sob sob sob... :(

So people, please watch this video... It's a very meaningful scene that could teach us one very important lesson that human always neglect and that is "Animals have feelings too..."
